Estonian Pointship closes $1.9M round featuring the Startup Wise Guys

Estonian startup Pointship, which offers innovative solutions for digital asset management and gaming asset trading, has successfully closed a $1.9M funding round. Investors include venture capital funds from Turkey, Dubai and London, as well as Estonian accelerator Startup Wise Guys

Pointship is an Estonian startup that offers its customers a digital asset exchange platform that helps them get the most out of loyalty points and rewards. The company also has Gameship, a gaming platform for trading in-game assets. Pointship was founded in Tallinn in 2020 by Turkish entrepreneurs Egemen Çakmak, Merter Unsal and Petter Jartby. At this point, the total number of Pointship users has already surpassed 100K.

According to Merter Ünsal, co-founder and CEO of Pointship, the Estonian startup will primarily use the raised funds to further expand in Europe, develop the platforms' technological infrastructure and improve the user experience.

Launched in 2012, Estonian Startup Wise Guys is an accelerator that invests in early-stage startups from the Baltic, Central European, and African regions. Startup Wise Guys typically invests up to €500K per company through multiple funds that manage €45M and are backed by more than 150 investors. The CEO of Startup Wise Guys is Cristobal Alonso.
