Jana Saastamoinen has been appointed as the new CEO of the Estonian Business Angels Network (EstBAN). She has previously worked mainly in project management and marketing and was the main organizer of Estonia's largest business festival, sTARTUp Day, for more than two years.

Red Bull Ventures, Tech Transfer Agrifood (Clave Capital), and AttaPoll, as well as existing investors, also participated in the €3.6M funding round. Algori's investors also include industry veteran Jared Schreiber (InfoScout).

Aneli Venture Capital Fund has launched in Lithuania. The €35M fund will primarily focus on startups in the fields of information and communication technologies (ICT), as well as robotics, space, photonics, and energy, to help them grow and prepare to attract follow-on investors. 

Latvian SAF Tehnika opens subsidiary in Colombia

SAF Tehnika has announced the establishment of a subsidiary, SAF LATAM S.A.S., in Colombia, whose main task will be to provide South American customers with customized solutions in the field of wireless data transmission and sensors. SAF Tehnika owns 51% of the shares in the newly established company. SAF LATAM S.A.S. will be headed by Vladimir Rojas, who has more than 15 years of experience representing SAF Tehnika in the South American market.

Estonian Vok Bikes announces partnership with French Renault Group

Estonian electric cargo bike manufacturer Vok Bikes and Renault Group are entering into a strategic partnership with the aim of launching mass production of the latest generation of Vok four-wheel electric bikes. Production will begin in early 2026 at the Renault Refactory plant in Flins, France.
