Estonian streaming platform Fairmus acquired marketplace for music copyrights Fanvestory

Estonian streaming platform Fairmus acquired 100% of Estonian marketplace for music copyright Fanvestory. It is an exit for Estonian accelerator Startup Wise Guys. According to public sources of information, the startup was backed also by Estonian venture capital firm and accelerator Storytek, and other Estonian and foreign investors. The acquisition was advised by the international business law firm Sorainen.

Fairmus charges each listener a monthly fee that is distributed among the musicians whose music they listen to. Fairmus was founded in 2020 by Tõnis Kivisild, Juko-Mart Kõlar, Kristjan Ulst, and Reigo Ahven. Fairmus participated in Tehnopol's Startup Incubator program.

Fanvestory is a funding and engagement platform for music lovers and their artists. It offers to buy shares in song royalties and earn long-term revenue from the commercial use of copyrighted songs. The startup participated in the acceleration program of Startup Wise Guys in 2017. It was founded in 2017 by Birgit Karus, Kristjan Ulst, and Juko-Mart Kõlar.
