Winners of Startup Day Pitching 2024 to receive €425K from Baltic investors

Three Estonian startups will receive €425K as winners of Startup Day Pitching 2024. The event was hosted in Tartu from 24 to 25 January. In total, Startup Day saw 322 young technology companies participants.

Estonian data startup ESGrid will receive a syndicated investment of up to €200K from the Estonian Business Angels Network (EstBAN). Jan Lätt and Sven Kotkas led the investment. Established in Tallinn in 2023 by Katrin Isotamm, Oksana Tolmatshova, and Ott Ilves, ESGrid is a SaaS platform that helps European companies collect data to assess and improve their ESG (environmental, social, and governance) performance. In addition, it provides practical recommendations and advice for a faster green energy transition.

Tallinn-based communication platform Wayren will receive €125K from Lithuanian Baltic Sandbox Ventures. Founded in 2020 by Henry Härm and Oliver Tiit, Wayren allows its users to exchange data in the conditions of communication disruptions and jamming. The platform connects devices into an ad-hoc mesh network over the internet and private networks, such as IP, serial and analog radios, and communication technique LoRa.

Tallinn-based e-signature software eID Easy will get €100K syndicate investment from Estonian .Contriber ventures. This investment includes the price of the founders' tickets to join the .Contriber School for a year. Founded in 2014 by Mats-Joonas Kulla, Margus Pala, Karli Palts, and Joao Rei, eID Easy is a SaaS marketplace of Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) and electronic identity. It helps businesses to sign documents and files electronically and authenticate users through logins, sign-ups, KYC, and age verification.
