Estonian Forus appoints new CEO former employee of Russia's Nexign, whose owner was linked to Alisher Usmanov
Estonian ride-hailing platform and application Forus has appointed Loukas Tzitzis as its new CEO. The current CEO, Eduard Dubrovski, will take over the role of chief operations manager at Forus.
From September 2017 to May 2019, Tzitzis was chief product, strategy, and marketing officer at the Russian operation and business support system company Nexign, owned by Russian entrepreneur Anton Cherepennikov, whose business has been linked to sanctioned billionaire Alisher Usmanov.
Previously Loukas Tzitzis also managed various technology companies in Estonia, Israel, and the United Kingdom. Most recently, he was CEO of an innovation and digital development agency in Baku, Azerbaijan, from June 2023 to April 2024, and a regional vice president of strategic accounts at Indian telecom and IT consulting company Tech Mahindra in 2022.
Before that, Tzitzis was a director of new products and services marketing at Russian IT company NVision Group.
Founded in Estonia in 2022 by Urmas Sõõrumaa, Forus is a ride-hailing platform, that provides extra services, such as Forus Food, Forus Delivery, Forus Rent, Forus Manager, and others.
Loukas Tzitzis plans to expand the Forus platform to new markets. Currently, the company operates in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Spain, Tunisia, and Georgia.
