Estonian cleantech MarkeDroid raises €500K from AS Giga

MarkeDroid, an Estonian cleantech company that provides seamless Virtual Power Plant management solutions for households, has raised €500K from Estonian AS Giga.

MarkeDroid's optimization solution not only manages electricity consumption but also maximizes the return on investments made in electricity generation and storage. It determines the optimal time to buy, store, and sell electricity back to the grid based on market prices, weather conditions, and consumption patterns. The company was founded in 2023 by Toomas Teesaar and Toomas Kärner. Since its inception, Markedroid has raised €655K.

AS Giga is a Tartu-based company that is involved in heat management, trading, and peat production, as well as providing construction and transport services for heat management.

Lithuanian AI-powered digital math tutor Alfa Space has raised €315K from Lithuanian business angels. Founded in 2024 by Paulius Serva, Vilius Jastremskas, Tomas Sipko, and Emilija Platukite, Alfa Space is developing a personalized math tutoring platform based on artificial intelligence.  Alfa Space helps to coordinate the math learning process and answers students' questions.
