Vilnius-based P2P lending platform Finbee raises €35M from Pollen Street Capital
The P2P lending platform Finbee has raised €35M from London-based investment company Pollen Street Capital.
Founded in Vilnius in 2017 by Darius Noreika and Audrius Griskevicius (co-founder of Lithuanian fintech Softloans), Finbee is a peer-to-peer lending platform that connects borrowers and lenders. Finbee offers consumer loans and business loans for small companies. Individual borrowers can get loans for studies, travel, home improvements, a new car, refinancing old loans, etc. Small businesses can apply for loans for new businesses, working capital, new equipment and machinery, and more.
In 2023, the average interest rate on the platform for consumers was 16.3%, and for business loans was 13.8%. In 2023, Finbee provided loans for more than €27M. In 2024, the company plans to issue loans worth €40M. The platform has 22751 active investors and 36874 successful borrowers. The minimum amount of investment is €10. Finbee invests at least 12% of the total amount in each loan to share the risk with investors.
The startup will use the new investment to provide loans to more than 1,5К local businesses.
