Estonian accelerator Startup Wise Guys has invested in Ukrainian startup Pibox. Czech Presto Ventures and Canadian Globalive Capital also participated in the $1.2M round.

Based in Los Angeles and founded in 2018 by Ivan and Pavel Talaychuk, Pibox is a platform designed for production teams to manage media files. The service allows users to upload media files, add collaborators to projects, and assign editing tasks to teams. Pibox includes tools for metadata management, playlists, integrations, and reporting. By centralizing comments on audio and video, Pibox speeds up the review process. The platform also supports tagging of individuals to ensure timely attention to urgent tasks. Users can communicate privately through direct messaging before sharing updates in team chats. The solution can be used by music producers, sound engineers, production managers, and others.

Pibox customers include Universal Music, Sony, Red Bull, Epidemic Sound, and others.

Launched in 2012, Estonian Startup Wise Guys is an accelerator that invests in early-stage startups from the Baltic, Central European, and African regions. Startup Wise Guys typically invests up to €500K per startup through multiple funds that manage €45M and are backed by more than 150 investors. The CEO of Startup Wise Guys is Cristobal Alonso.
