Estonian startup Wayren raises €7.9M from Greek EFA GROUP
Estonian startup Wayren has raised €7.9M from Greek company EFA GROUP.
Wayren is the company that developed Singularity, a communications platform that enables communication between soldiers, command centers, and various platforms in a combat environment.
Wayren was founded in 2020 by three former Cybernetic Command employees, Henry Härm and Oliver Tiit, and Tarmo Aya. In 2022, the company received a development grant from the Estonian Ministry of Defense. In 2024, €725K were raised under the leadership of BSV Ventures with the participation of DEPO Ventures and business angels, including Taavi Veskimägi.
EFA GROUP is an aerospace, security, defense and industrial cooperation development company with global headquarters in Athens, Greece. The company was founded in 1989.
The goal of the cooperation between the Estonian and Greek company is to develop high-tech digital solutions for the battlefield that will integrate soldiers, drones, vehicles and weapon systems into a single system.
