Plural and Superangel participate in Labrys' $20M Series A round

Venture funds Plural and Superangel participated in a $20M Series A round for UK technology company Labrys. Other investors included AlbionVC as well as existing investors. Labrys will use the proceeds to further develop its proprietary Axiom platform.

Labrys is a technology company that has developed the Axiom platform for remotely managing global networks of people and communities. It allows centralized communication and coordination, replacing several tools (email, social networks) at once. Labrys is founded in 2019 in the UK by August Lersten and Luke Wattam.

Founded in 2022 by Estonian entrepreneurs Sten Tamkivi, Taavet Hinrikus, Ian Hogarth, and Khaled Helioui, Plural focuses on leading early-stage rounds between €1M and €10M. In 2023, a new partner, AI-driven biotech HelixNano founder, and VC investor Carina Namih joined Plural. The fund has its own rule that requires all of Plural's partners to make personal co-investments in the deals they lead.

Founded in Tallinn in 2018 by Veljo Otsason and Rain Rannu, Superangel focuses on pre-seed and seed investments in the Baltics and Nordic countries. General partners are Marko Oolo and Veljo Otsason. The Estonian investment firm focuses on artificial intelligence, robotics, energy, mobility, data and infrastructure. The typical ticket size is between €300K and €800K.

AlbionVC is a venture capital firm founded in 1996 in London, UK. The firm invests in UK-based startups in a wide range of sectors, from enterprise applications to high technology and life sciences.
