Telecommunications company Telia Eesti buys IT company Iglu

Telia Eesti has bought Estonian IT company Iglu, with which it has cooperated in developing several mobile solutions, including the Mobile-ID service. Now, in addition to telecommunications, IT and cybersecurity services, Telia will now be able to offer software development capabilities to customers through Iglu.

The contract has already been signed but still needs to be approved by the antitrust agency. The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Telia Eesti is a telecommunications company founded in 1997 as Eesti Telekom AS. In 2016, Eesti Telekom changed its name to Telia Eesti, combining the EMT and Elion brands under the name Telia. Telia Estonia offers mobile, internet and IT solutions for private and corporate customers. The CEO of Telia Eesti is Andre Visse.

Iglu is an Estonian software development company. The company was founded in Estonia in 2013. Iglu's offices are located in Tallinn and Tartu. The company's clients include large companies such as Telia Eesti, Wise, Omniva, and LHV Bank UK. The CEO of Iglu is Kristjan Aiaste.
