Vilnius-based payment company Paynt buys Canada's E-xact Transactions

Paynt, a payment technology company, has bought Canadian company E-xact Transactions. The acquisition of E-xact, which processes more than CAD 3.5B in more than 50M transactions annually, will create a new operations center in Vancouver, Canada.

Leading the integration of E-xact into Paynt's platform and overseeing regional markets will be John Paul Golino.

Paynt, founded in 2013 by Sam Kohli, is a European payment technology provider specializing in POS solutions, tip systems and integrated financial services. The company provides businesses in the hospitality and retail sectors with a robust infrastructure and a suite of innovative payment products. Paynt is headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania.

E-xact Transactions is a company that provides encrypted security and data processing, and allows integration with various payment methods and e-commerce platforms including Shopify, Magento and WooCommerce so customers can pay online. The company was founded in 2000 in Canada.
