Estonian Jälle Technologies raises €2M

Estonian deeptech startup Jälle Technologies has secured €2M Pre-Seed funding. Part of the funding came in the form of a grant from Enterprise Estonia (EIS) and the Environmental Investment Center (KIK), while the rest came from Kiilto Ventures, 2C Ventures, and the participation of business angels Andrus Purde and Priit Viru. 

Jälle Technologies is a company that develops technologies to recycle lithium from used batteries. The company was founded by scientists Kerli Liivand, Martin Jantson, Reio Praats, Erki Ani, and Ivar Kruusenberg, who set out to solve the problem of waste in the battery industry. Jälle Technologies was founded in 2023 in Estonia.

Enterprise Estonia (EIS) is an Estonian government agency that promotes and supports innovation, exports, tourism and foreign investment.

The Environmental Investment Center (KIK) in Estonia provides support for projects related to environmental protection.

Founded in Estonia in 2024 by Herty Tammo, Hendrik Reimand, Taavi Veskimägi, and Martin Koppel, 2C Ventures aims to provide startups with initial investments ranging from €250K to €1M and follow-on investments in later rounds.

Kiilto Ventures is the venture capital arm of Kiilto, a Finnish family-owned company that produces chemicals for construction, industry and professional hygiene. Kiilto Ventures' goal is to support early-stage startups that create a more sustainable environment. Founded in Finland in 2019.
