Four Estonian space technology startups will receive funding of €240K

Four Estonian space technology startups, Babayte, Spiral Hydrogen, MS Forest and Energy Risk Service, will receive funding of €240K - €60K each. Half of the funding will come from the European Space Agency (ESA BIC Estonia) and the other half from the cities, depending on the location of the startup.

Babayte is a company that is developing BabAI Orbital, an on-board artificial intelligence module for small satellites that helps avoid collisions. The company was founded in Tartu in February 2024.

Spiral Hydrogen is a startup from Tartu that is working on a new type of hydrogen generator with over 90% efficiency. The company is founded in January 2024.

MS Forest is a company that is building a dynamic registry of forestry data to reduce the time and cost of forest inventory. The startup is founded in Tallinn in October 2024.

Energy Risk Service is a startup from Tallinn that develops a forecasting system for the renewable energy sector based on satellite data. Founded in June 2024.

ESA BIC Estonia is a business incubation center of the European Space Agency in Estonia. It is the first such center in the Baltic States and is part of the European network of 18 space technology business incubators. The aim of the organization is to help Estonian startups to enter the international market.
