Estonian AI startup BetterPic raises $2.5M

BetterPic, an Estonian startup focused on image processing using artificial intelligence, has secured $2.5M in seed funding. The round was led by MOC Capital and Shilling VC, and also included investors from the technology and fashion sectors such as founder of Showpad and CEO of Wintercircus Ghent Louis Jonckheere, Matthias Geeroms of Lighthouse, Joris Van Der Gucht of Ravical, AI agency Hyperson, and Severine Nijs of Jackie Lee.

BetterPic is a company that creates tools for image processing. The startup offers two main products: BetterPic, a service for creating professional portraits using artificial intelligence, and BetterStudio, a platform for fashion photo shoots using artificial intelligence. Since its inception, the company has created more than 32 million images for clients including individuals and Fortune 500 companies. BetterPic is part of the parent company BetterGroup. The company was founded in 2024. The co-founders are Ricardo Ghekiere and Miguel Rasero.

BetterPic plans to use the investment received to expand its B2B subscription products and further develop technology to create verified photo models based on artificial intelligence.
