Estonian venture fund Trind VC exited its portfolio company Tise

Estonian venture fund Trind VC made an exit from its Norwegian portfolio company Tise, in which it had invested in 2020. The company was acquired by eBay, the global leader in e-commerce.

Tise is a social marketplace for reselling clothing and interior items. Users can not only list items for sale, but also communicate with each other, follow interesting sellers, like posts, and comment on listings. Tise is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. The platform was founded in 2014.

Trind Ventures is an early-stage venture fund with an initial ticket of €0,1M-€1M, and follow-on investments up to €5M per company. The partners are Joel Aasmäe, Ivar Siimar, Kimmo Irpola, Taavi Lepmets, and Reima Linnanvirta. In September 2022, the company closed Fund II with €55M. The goal was to invest in 30-40 startups in four years.

eBay Inc. is an American company that provides services in the areas of online auctions and online stores. Its headquarters are in San Jose, California.
