Estonian MarkeDroid raises €300K
Estonian company MarkeDroid, which works to improve the efficiency of solar parks, has raised €300K in interim financing. Of the total investment, €175K came from the Estonian Business Angels Network (EstBAN).
MarkeDroid is an Estonian cleantech company that provides end-to-end virtual power plant management solutions for households. MarkeDroid is also working with state grid operators to develop a flexible microgrid solution that will enable homes and businesses to help maintain balance in the power grid and earn income for doing so. The company was founded in Estonia in 2023 by Toomas Teesaar and Toomas Kärner. In 2024 MarkeDroid raised €500K from Estonian AS Giga.
The new investment will enable MarkeDroid to expand its activities in the field of home energy management.
Founded in 2012, EstBAN is a business angel network. EstBAN's members include Estonian Change Ventures and Tera Ventures, Lithuanian Practica Capital and Firstpick, Nordic Secondary Fund from Denmark, and others.
