Estonian Nortal acquires Middle East division of Accela
Estonian company Nortal has acquired the Middle East division of Accela, a leading provider of cloud solutions for government agencies. This will enable the company to expand its presence in the region.
Founded in Tallinn in 2000 by Priit Alamäe, Nortal provides strategic consulting, software development projects, and related advisory and digitization services. Nortal has worked on digital transformation projects for governments, healthcare institutions, and other global enterprises. The company has contributed to the improvement of the Estonian government portal eesti.ee, where people can apply for government services such as filing documents, registering the birth of a child, starting a business, and all types of e-services from government agencies. Nortal's employees deliver projects in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America. Nortal's Regional Director for the Middle East is Taavi Einaste.
Accela is an American private technology company that develops solutions designed to automate administrative processes, including permitting, licensing, and regulatory compliance. It provides software solutions for state and local government agencies. The Accela platform is used by state and local government agencies in the United States, as well as in a number of other countries.
