Lithuanian Repsense closes €2M seed round
Lithuanian AI-startup Repsense has closed a €2M seed round. The round was led by Tensor Ventures, joined by Seed Starter, CVC Česká spořitelna, and existing investors BSV Ventures and Coinvest Capital.
Founded in Vilnius in 2021 by Mykolas Katkus and Robertas Danielianas, Repsense has developed a public information analysis platform called Adler. It uses 86 factors to evaluate online perceptions of customers, identify propaganda and fake news, and analyze media and reputation. It also provides insights into social media and podcast trends. By simulating user journeys and processing 1.5M data points, Adler predicts reactions to content found and provides actionable insights. The tool enables reputation assessment and competitive benchmarking across geographies.
The startup will use the investment to scale technology and expand globally.
BSV Ventures (formerly Baltic Sandbox Ventures) is a venture capital fund specializing in investments in high technology, biotechnology and dual-use technologies in the Baltic States and the rest of Europe. The fund was founded by Sandra Golbreich, Andrius Milinavičius and Erik Bhullar in 2022 in Lithuania. Last year fund has raised $15M from NATO Innovation Fund (NIF), Lithuanian ILTE fund (ex-Invega). BSV Ventures has offices in Lithuania, Estonia and Finland.
Coinvest Capital, a venture capital fund established in 2018 by the national development bank ILTE, invests EU and Republic of Lithuania public funds, in promising Lithuanian startups and into European startups that benefit Lithuania. The managing director of Coinvest Capital is Viktorija Trimbel.
Tensor Ventures is a venture capital firm founded in 2018 and based in Prague (Czech Republic). Its focus is on deep technology investments in Central and Eastern Europe. Using artificial intelligence-based technology, the firm seeks out early-stage startups and university projects. The founders are Roman Smola, Martin Drdul, and Petr Ulvr.
Seed Starter České spořitelny is a company that provides support and investment to startups. Since 2020, the company has been investing in technologies that help develop the banking sector or bring innovation to customers. Seed Starter helps startups enter the market and attracts external projects to the ecosystem of the Czech bank České spořitelna.
