Estonian AI startup Flashka raises €1M

Estonian AI startup Flashka has raised €1M in pre-seed round led by Outlast Fund with the participation of UCP and Vento Ventures.

Flashka is an AI startup in the field of educational technology that has developed a platform that helps university students master subjects using automated flashcards, tests, and personalized learning tools. Flashka has attracted over a million users and has become one of the most popular learning apps in Italy and Spain. The startup was founded in 2023 by Stefan Djokovic, David Djokovic and Simone De Marchi.

Outlast Fund is a venture company focused on early stage startups in the Nordic and Baltic regions. Outlast Fund focuses on investments in B2B software-based startups at pre-seed and seed stages. The fund also invests in first-time founders who possess unique and specific insights within their chosen verticals. The Outlast Fund was announced in 2024. Founders: Egita Polanska, Marija Ručevska, Kristaps Prusis and Mikaela Pedersen.

Ulixes Capital Partners (UCP) is a holding company that invests in innovative startups and small and medium—sized enterprises. The company was founded in Italy in 2019 by specialists in the fields of banking and finance, law, venture capital and management. 

Vento Ventures is a private venture fund founded in Turin in April 2022. His mission is to identify, support and expand the activities of the next generation of Italian entrepreneurs in the world.

Lithuanian Cast AI gets unicorn status

The Lithuanian company Cast AI , which develops a product to optimize cloud costs for businesses, has announced the attraction of strategic investments from Pacific Alliance Ventures . Although the exact amount was not disclosed, after this round of financing, the cost of Cast AI exceeded $1B, thanks to which the company was able to obtain the status of a unicorn.
