Estonian Prototron awards €75K to ORMIA, Bitlab, and WISIA

Estonian technology companies, ORMIA, Bitlab, and WISIA, have received grants totaling €75,000 from the Prototron fund to develop their first working prototypes. The grand prize of €35,000 went to ORMIA,  while Bitlab and WISIA each received €30,000.

ORMIA is an Estonian deep-tech company developing a complementary ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) solution dedicated to the detection of drones and low-flying threats.

WISIA is an Estonian company that develops an AI visualization platform that accurately shows how visible a brand is in conversations and responses to AI queries. In addition to measurements, WISIA provides practical recommendations for improving visibility in AI systems.

BitLab is a Tallinn-based company that has created universal software for organizing events in real time. The application allows technicians to run a whole range of devices – audio, video, and lighting – through a single interface in real time, with built-in diagnostics for quick problem solving. 

Prototron is a fund that supports promising business ideas in Estonia. It was created in 2012 by Swedbank, Tallinn University of Technology, and the Tehnopol startup incubator. Prototron organizes two rounds of funding per year. From approximately 300 applications received in each round, teams are selected to participate in the program.
