Estonian G-Bank Technologies landed €1,93M
Estonian fintech company G-Bank Technologies raised €1,93M. The round was led by incubator Inclusion Japan and backed by Japanese Finolab Fund, venture company Miraise, and angel investors from Estonia and Japan, including Taavi Tamkivi, Sonny Aswani, Üllar Jaaksoo and Indrek Kasela. This pre-seed fundraising investment was conducted in the form of a convertible note.
G-Bank Technologies is a platform, which allows expats in Japan to run financial operations in their native language. The company charges a monthly fee to use this platform. The customer can make local transfers, and manage his spending (tracking monthly income and expenses).
The startup was founded by Estonian entrepreneurs Raul Allikivi, Rait Arro and Japanese entrepreneur Yoshihiko Sakamoto in 2021.
As the startup said, part of the financing was used to build an application. It is currently available only for a company’s employees. But it plans to launch its beta version in January 2023.
Inclusion Japan is a Japanese incubator for venture companies and large corporations, based in Tokyo in 2011.
Finolab Fund - is a Japanese company, established in 2019. It provides real estate and financial services.
Launched in 2018, MIRAISE was founded in Tokyo. It focuses on seed VC investments in early-stage software startups.
