Lithuanian Watalook attracted €3M
Lithuanian booking platform of beauty services Watalook attracted €3M from Lithuanian fund Practica Capital and Lithuanian Motieka Investment Fund. Denmark’s byFounders, Netherlands’ Crossspring, and several business angels also backed this seed round.
Watalook connects independent beauty specialists with clients, offering a platform with a calendar for self-booking that sends automated text message updates and reminders for appointments, collects client data, and provides revenue, appointment frequency, cancellations or no-shows, etc. Watalook works in Lithuania, Great Britain, the USA, and Norway.
The startup will use the new capital for development of its platform's financial operations infrastructure. Also, the company aims to strengthen its position in Europe, especially in Scandinavia.
In 2021, the company raised €1M from the Estonian fund and accelerator Startup Wise Guys, current investor Netherlands’ Crossspring, and others.
Lithuanian-based Practica Capital focuses on investments in the Baltic and Baltic-origin ventures in Europe. Established in 2011, Practica Capital has invested in TransferGo, PVcase, Interactio, Eneba, Ovoko, Trafi, CGtrader, and others
Lithuanian Motieka Investment Fund (MIF) was founded in 2020 by the employees of the law company Motieka & Audzevičius.
