Lithuanian fund Contrarian Ventures invested in the Paris mobility data platform Vianova

Lithuanian fund Contrarian Ventures invested in the Paris mobility data platform Vianova. French investment company La Poste Ventures, operated by XAnge, French RATP Capital Innovation (a subsidiary of Paris transport company RATP Group), and Netherlands VC fund Ponooc also participated in a €6M round. The lead investor was a banking company Baloise Holding.

Vianova was founded in 2019. It is a data platform that helps cities and governments manage shared, on-demand, electric or autonomous vehicles such as bikes, scooters, taxis, and cars; plan and build infrastructure for providing safer roads. It also helps owners of the fleets improve their performance and make sure the vehicles are in the right spots at the right time.
Vianova plans to use the new funding for scaling its team, accelerating its global expansion, and developing the platform.
Contrarian Ventures has already participated in previous Vianova rounds: the first - in 2020 and the second time - in 2021 (together with Ponooc, RATP Capital Innovation, and other investors). Contrarian Ventures was established in Vilnius in 2017. It is a seed-stage VC that invests in cleantech startups from Europe and Israel.
