CEO of Salv Taavi Tamkivi joined the Supervisory Board of Estonian Business and Innovation Agency
CEO of anti-money laundering platform Salv and a member of Estonian Founders Society Taavi Tamkivi joined the Supervisory Board of Estonian Business and Innovation Agency, created by the merger of Kredex and Enterprise Estonia.
Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology of Estonia Kristjan Järvan commented that Estonian Business and Innovation Agency is an important partner in developing the business ecosystem and creating opportunities for cooperation between traditional sectors and startups. He hopes that Taavi Tamkivi will support his idea of the necessity to take into account the next stages of startups development and the changed needs of growth companies while shaping the business environment in the country.
Estonian Business and Innovation Agency consists of two merged companies Kredex and Enterprise Estonia. The agency supports entrepreneurship and works on improving living conditions in Estonia and increasing international competitiveness and visibility.
The Estonian Founders Society was formed in January 2009 by a group of entrepreneurs. It works together with Startup Estonia, EstVCA, EstBAN, Association of IT & Telecoms, law firms, the Estonian Prime Minister, and different ministries to boost Estonian legislation for startups, and representation of startups in Estonia and beyond.
Salv was founded in Tallinn in 2018 by former Wise and Skype employees Taavi Tamkivi, Jeff McClelland, and Sergei Rumjantsev. Salv provides technology-powered solutions to help banks and money service providers detect financial crime. Earlier, it announced raising €4M from the lead New York-based venture company ffVC, German Giesecke+Devrient Ventures, and a group of undisclosed existing investors.
