Estonian Trind VC led a €550K round for home services marketplace Webel
Estonian venture fund Trind VC led a €550K round for Spanish home services marketplace Webel. German-American investment firm Tiburon and Spanish business angel Hugo Arévalo (investor of Madrid-based business school ThePowerMBA and padel and tennis court booking app Playtomic) also participated in this deal.
Webel was founded in Madrid in 2018 by Carlos Estevez Rincon, Guillermo Mateo, and Nacho Tejero Mancho. It is a marketplace that allows you to book services such as cleaning, sports, language, Math, and other classes, taking care of the dogs, beauty services, babysitting, and many others. The platform offers SaaS tools like a calendar, notifications, and automated invoices. According to the company, each customer currently books about eight services a year. More than 75% of Webel's customers repeat, and that is the main reason for the company's growth.
Webel will use the new financing for further scaling the platform and developing its application.
The investment in Webel is its fourth investment by Fund II and the second investment in Spain. The first Spanish investment was with Barcelona-based event management software Xceed in November 2022. Another Fund II investment was the Estonian platform for buying and selling second-hand fashion goods Yaga. As Trind.vc mentioned, soon it will announce one more deal.
