Russian Game Insight LLC initiated a lawsuit against its Lithuanian parent company

Russian Game Insight LLC initiated a lawsuit against its Lithuanian parent game company Game Insight Group UAB, demanding to pay her RUB 153,4M (€1,9M). The reasons to file a lawsuit are unknown, and the application has not yet been accepted for processing.

However, last year Russian Game Insight LLC declared itself bankrupt. The number of unfulfilled obligations of the company to creditors was RUB 76,2M, and RUB 66,5M was payroll debts.

Over 300 employees had not received their salaries. Some of them had filed applications to include their claims in the register of debtors. Back then, the Lithuanian company explained the non-payment of payrolls by the sanctions towards Russia.

Earlier this month, the arbitration manager of Game Insight, the bankruptcy trustee Denis Kachura accused the Lithuanian company of deliberate bankruptcy of its Russian subsidiary and said that beneficiaries of the project (Igor Matsanyuk, Mikhail Vintschel, and Grigory Finger) may have faced criminal liability under several articles of the Russian criminal code in case if they had taken out the assets of the Russian company and had not taken steps to maintain the business in Russia.
