IT companies with Belarusian roots became large office tenants in Lithuania in 2022

IT companies with Belarusian roots, operating in Lithuania, showed threefold growth in the number of hired employees in the previous year. Therefore, they rented half of the office premises in Lithuania in 2022, occupied by all IT companies in Vilnius. According to the international company Colliers, they rented 15K m2 out of the total 30K m2.

The largest tenants of office premises among IT companies were a game developer and publisher Wargaming Vilnius, period and ovulation tracker Flo Health LTU, game developer Melsoft LT, provider of digital transformation services EPAM Sistemos, and digital insurance platform EIS Group Lietuva.

Last year Epam systems and Wargaming Vilnius were among the leading companies regarding paid taxes, following only the data center of US financial services company Western Union — Western Union Processing Lithuania. At the same time, they overtook the Lithuanian subsidiary of IBM, Vinted, and a local division of US IT corporation Cognizant Technology Solutions DeBridge LT.
