Lithuanian edtech Teachers Lead Tech raised €150K
Lithuanian educational technology company Teachers Lead Tech raised €150K from a few Lithuanian investors. Among them was the co-founder of industrial automation equipment supplier Elinta.eu Vladas Lašas, founder of Lithuanian unicorn Vinted Mantas Mikuckas, co-founder of dropshipping platform Oberlo (acquired by global commerce company Shopify in 2021) Andrius Šlimas, Donatas Dailidė, non-profit Marius Jakulis Jason Foundation (MJJ Fund), and others.
Teachers Lead Tech was launched in 2019 in Vilnius. The CEO and founder of the startup is Monika Katkute. Initially, the name of the company is Vedliai (Wizards).
Teachers Lead Tech develops a platform for learning creative informatics that helps to acquire basic computer science skills. The platform combines different computer science concepts such as artificial intelligence, programming, and 3D modeling. Kids can learn maths by programming, the solar system - by creating 3D models, and languages - by creating artificial intelligence models. The platform’s content is intended for kids in 1-8 grades.
The solution offers teacher training, educational content creation, and a digital assistant to help children create in the classroom. To date, the platform engaged more than 80K children across Lithuania. The company will use the investment for development and expansion to the US.
