Estonian accelerator Startup Wise Guys invested in Turkish HR platform VireUp

Estonian accelerator Startup Wise Guys participated in a £3,25M round of Turkish AI video interview platform VireUp. US business angel, managing partner and founder of HR agency MRA Global Sourcing Naseem Malik, and some unnamed Turkish business angels also joined the round.

VireUp is an AI-automated video interview and interview training platform. It helps recruiters make faster decisions. The startup uses natural language processing (NLP) to automatically evaluate the applicant's answers to the interview questions considering the recruiter's expectations. Also, technology helps to explain the reasoning behind the evaluation to the recruiter as well as to the applicant through individual feedback.

VireUp operates in Turkey, in the USA, and the UK, and cooperates with companies from retail, FMCG, service, and technology sectors. The startup was founded in 2019 by Efe Pazarçevirien and Arda Çelebi. The VireUp team will use the investment to develop technology and increase customers by expanding its marketing activities.
