Estonian racing driver Ott Tänak invested in ride-hailing platform Forus

Estonian rally driver Ott Tänak invested in Estonian ride-hailing platform Forus. The amount of the round is undisclosed. With the deal, Tänak will own 10% of the company.

According to the founder of Forus Urmas Sõõrumaa, the company’s value is €20M. Thus Tänaku's investment in Forus should be estimated at around €2M. Besides, Forus has already started negotiations about a new investment round, which can be closed at the end of the year.

The company was founded in Estonia in 2022 by Urmas Sõõrumaa. It works in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Spain, Tunisia, and Georgia. According to the company, new services are being added to the Forus platform – Forus Food, Forus Delivery, Forus Rent, Forus Manager, and others.

In 2022, Forus launched a program of tokens for its clients - US Token. When they use Forus Taxi or other services worth €100, they receive one US Token, which is possible to sell or buy. The value of tokens grows with the company. A token collector has the right to share ideas about company development, and since 2027 he can exchange US Tokens for a stake in Forus International. In 2022, the company issued 30M US tokens, which today is equivalent to 30% of the platform's company.
