Latvian logistics startup Swotzy raised €90K from Lithuanian Firstpick
Latvian logistics startup Swotzy has raised €90K from Lithuanian accelerator and early-stage investor Firstpick.
Swotzy is a platform for last-mile delivery, allowing users to find the best-fit courier-post services. The platform combines several delivery services posts, allowing users to compare services according to time/fees and without signing contracts. For small businesses, Swotzy offers a user interface where users can manually purchase shipping labels and request courier pickups. For bigger companies, Swotzy will ensure API connectivity to ease the logistics process, and use several couriers with one integration and one contract.
Swotzy was founded by Lauris Rutkis, Kristians Jenciuss, and Jekabs Hincenbergs in August 2022. The company has two paying clients in Latvia. Swotzy has also participated in Firstpick accelerator program Batch-2, which started at the end of February and continues till June. Currently, it is in its initial stage of development (MVP) and plans to launch in the first weeks of May 2023. The startup will use the investment to grow its team and get the product to the market of Baltic countries faster.
Venture capital firm Firstpick was launched by an ex-Lithuanian team of Estonian accelerator StartupWiseGuys. Firstpick aims to support 45 startups over the coming three years. In its pre-accelerator, it offers to give €20K per team, and from €50K to €100K within the acceleration program. The volume of the fund is €20M. The Partners of Firstpick are Jonė Vaitulevičiūtė, Marijus Andrijauskas, Andra Bagdonaite.
