Estonian insurtech Value.Space raised €2,1M

Estonian insurtech Value.Space, which uses satellite data to assess infrastructure risks, raised €2,1M from Estonian venture capital funds Specialist VC, Superangel, Lemonade Stand, Estonian business angel Linnar Viik, and the Latvian BADideas.fund. The round was also backed by Finnish fund Inventure, which focuses on investment in startups from Nordic and Baltic regions.

Value.Space (formerly Sille Space) uses InSAR technology, artificial intelligence for pattern recognition, predictive analytics, and satellite images to detect tiny anomalies and deformation (including undetected, hidden deformation) in large infrastructure objects that may indicate dangerous risks, such as in structures of dams or large commercial areas, as well as mines.

The company uses high-tech radar technology from the European Space Agency, that provides millimeter-level accuracy assessments of infrastructure. Assessments are conducted remotely and save costs compared to manual inspections. According to Value.Space, has prepared more than 3500 risk profiles for clients in 70 countries. The company will use the investment to increase the market share of risk analyses.

The startup was founded in 2022 by Reijo Põld and Agu Leinfeld. The company operates in Estonia and the UK.
