Specialist VC invested in Indian startup 2070 Health

Estonian venture fund Specialist VC invested in Mumbai-based startup 2070 Health. Besides, a $30M deal was backed by US-based healthcare investor W Health Ventures.

2070 Health was founded in 2023 by Pankaj Jethwani. The startup is focused on building health companies, forming a valid idea, testing and launching it, building the team, and providing marketing expertise, partnerships, and capital​. During the last nine months, it has built a medical weight loss company ElevateNow, holistic pain treatment company Nivaan Care, and healthcare SaaS provider Reveal healthtech.

The company will use the funding to build healthcare companies in India and back those which have been launched recently.

Specialist VC is a venture capital fund supporting companies from the Baltic region, Finland and Ukraine. Usually, it starts financing from €250K. The fund started its work in Tallinn in 2017. At the beginning of 2022, Specialist VC launched a new €50M, which gets support from Estonian LHV pension funds and the European Investment Fund through the European Guarantee Fund and the Baltic Innovation Fund 2.

W Health Ventures invests in digital health companies. It was founded in Boston in 2020 by Sunil Wadhwani. The fund focuses on scalable and impactful ideas, which will rely on AI and technology.
