Estonian ticket sales company Piletilevi Group acquired 80% of Czech ticket marketplace GoOut.net

Estonian online ticket-selling network Piletilevi Group acquired 80% of Czech ticket marketplace GoOut.net. The parties are not disclosing the price of the deal. Latvian SEB Bank funded the acquisition of GoOut.net by Piletilevi Group.

GoOut was founded in Prague in 2011 by Vojtech Otevrel. The company’s clients can buy tickets to concerts, festivals, movie screenings, workshops, exhibitions, gift vouchers for various events, save selected events, and follow favorite artists and venues on the platform. GoOut works in Czechia, Poland, Slovakia, and Germany. Lukáš Jandač, the CEO and shareholder of GoOut, will continue to work as CEO and remain a significant shareholder.

Founded in 1997, Piletilevi Group is owned by entrepreneur Sven Nuutmann’s investment company EastCom Capital and the private equity investment firm BaltCap. Piletilevi Group consists of Piletilevi in Estonia, Bilesu Serviss in Latvia, Bilietai.lt in Lithuania, Bilete.ro in Romania and GoOut.net in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Germany. Piletilevi Group provides event promoters with ticket-selling and marketing services. To sell tickets, Piletilevi Group uses the software BalTICket.

Recently, Piletilevi Group announced the acquisition of one of the largest Romanian ticketing platforms Bilete.ro. Both acquisitions by Piletilevi Group were funded with the assistance of Latvian SEB Bank. The deals will help Piletilevi Group to increase its volume of annually issued tickets to 15M and mediated ticket turnover - to €210M this year. Piletilevi Group plans to increase ticket sales to €300M in the nearest years. Besides, the Estonian ticket sales company plans to expand into Poland, Slovakia, and Germany, strengthening its position in the Baltics, and Central Europe.
