The property of owners of Lithuanian company Game Insight was arrested in Russia
The property of owners of Lithuanian company Game Insight was arrested in Russia, where there was an office of its bankrupted subsidiary company. Moscow Arbitration Court ordered the seizure of the owners' bank accounts and real estate, in the total amount of 75,9M rubles. The money consists of wage debts owed by 271 employees of Russian Game Insight.
Among the managers with arrested accounts are Igor Matsanyuk (former vice president of Mail.ru Group), Grigory Finger, and Mikhail Vinchel (co-founders of Mail. ru Group - both of them left the holding in 2012), as well as Alexei Fesenkov (former Game Insight CEO), Anastasia Bubinets (the company’s CFO), Igor Shelopayev (a founder of Data Code, which began hiring Game Insight employees shortly before the bankruptcy), and Sergei Avetikov (Igor Matsaniuk's partner in the startup accelerator Farminers). The court also imposed interim measures on five real estate properties owned by Grigory Finger.
Besides, Moscow Arbitration Court approved the claim of the Russian company against its parent structure to pay off 154M in a bankruptcy case. The Russian structure did not receive this money from the Lithuanian Game Insight within the framework of contracts for the development of games. Earlier, the arbitration manager of Game Insight, the bankruptcy trustee Denis Kachura accused Lithuanian game company Game Insight of deliberate bankruptcy of its Russian part, whose beneficiaries are Igor Matsanyuk, Mikhail Vintschel, and Grigory Finger.
Lithuanian Game Insight Group was founded in Vilnius in 2009. The company's owners are Cyprus Game Insight Holdings Limited and Sergey Avetikov. The Chairman of the Board is Igor Matsanyuk.
Russian Game Insight developed games for the Lithuanian structure and received funds from it. The Lithuanian company owned the trademarks and intellectual rights to the game studio, while the Russian company was engaged in custom development and had no rights to the games.
