Lithuanian 3D game Mars4 raised investment from Singaporean firm DWF Labs

Mars4, a 3D multiplayer survival game based on blockchain, raised investment from Singaporean DWF Labs.

Lithuanian entrepreneurs Tomas Martunas (founding partner of Lithuanian investment firm Iron Wolf Capital) and Paul Seras founded the startup in 2020. The game is being released in stages. Currently, the company launched a PC game, the single-player version that allows players to explore Mars and build various constructions on it. Mars4 uses blockchain technology so the players can earn from playing the game. They can acquire digital assets such as Mars land plots. In a further version of Mars4, the game will be multiplayer, where it would be possible to struggle against the harsh Mars environment, construct buildings, gather resources, and earn rewards in return. The game will reflect the physics of Mars as closely as possible.

Mars4 is built on Unreal Engine 5.1 (has a set of templates as a base to build a game) and in-game asset management system Mars control center, facilitated by AI and machine learning.

The startup will direct investment in the development of metaverse Mars4. It will add multiplayer functionality to the game, finalize the surface recreation of Mars with the help of AI and NASA elevation data, and provide peer-to-peer resource trading within the game and through the Mars4 client Mars control center, which will help seamless digital asset exchanges between players and investors. The company plans to release second-generation colonist's NFTs (digital assets representing Internet collectibles like art, music, and games with an authentic certificate).

Founded in 2022, DWF Labs is a global digital asset market maker and multi-stage web3 investment firm. It invests in and supports Web3 startups (based on decentralized internet). The company operates in Singapore, Switzerland, the UAE, South Korea, and other countries.
