Startups from Estonian county Ida-Virumaa increased their turnover by 16% in 2023

Startups from Estonian Ida-Virumaa County reached a turnover of €1,33M in the first six months of 2023, which is 16% more compared to the same period of the previous year.  

According to the data of the Tax and Customs Board, a gaming platform Friedegggames showed the highest turnover of €390K. A travel startup that provides airport transfers and chauffeur services RhomTrip had a turnover of €385K, and PROSW Analytics (develops a media scan tool that helps businesses to retrieve risk-relevant news about their customers/counterparties) reached a turnover of €370K.

There are 20 startups in Ida-Virumaa, in which 19 employees are working in total. The largest employer is deep tech EFENCO (develops technology for industrial heat production), with nine people on the team.

In the first six months of this year, the companies from Ida-Virumaa paid the state €170K in labor taxes.
