Estonian Nortal acquired London-based software development company Questers
Estonian technology company Nortal, which provides services of digital transformation, bought a London-based software development company Questers.
Founded in 2007 by Alexander Drangajov, Questers is a distributed software development company, that integrates processes and services to deliver on organizations' strategic IT agenda. The company has clients in the UK, US, Germany, Belgium, Norway and Switzerland. There are more than 300 employees in Questers. Before the acquisition, Questers was a subsidiary company of UK-based TPXimpact Holdings PLC, which provides data and artificial intelligence (AI), technology and engineering, digital experience, organizational design and change, enterprise applications, and managed services for businesses and individuals.
With this deal, Questers will merge with Nortal’s daughter company Pwrteams, which helps IT and engineering organizations from Eastern Europe build cross-border teams. Pwrteams’s service centers are in Ukraine, Poland, Serbia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Mexico.
According to Nortal, this purchase will strengthen its position in the US and the UK markets and contribute to its natural growth. Founded in Tallinn in 2000 by Priit Alamäe, Nortal offers strategic consulting, software development projects, and related advisory and digitization services. Nortal has worked with digital transformation projects for governments, healthcare institutions, and other global enterprises. Nortal has 800 employees, carrying out projects across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America.
Nortal contributed to the improvement of the Estonian state portal eesti.ee, where people can apply to receive state services, such as filing documents, registering the birth of a child, starting a business, and all kinds of electronic services of state institutions. The company improved the UX (how the user interacts with the website interface and if the website is easy to navigate) of the state portal to make public services more accessible. For instance, the visitor can see the most relevant information on the desktop of the portal, and when logging in, he sees a personalized picture of his life events.
