Founded by Lithuanian entrepreneurs Dr. Tadas Jucikas and Viktoras Jucikas, Nashville-based (US) startup Genus AI raised $6M. Among investors were Silicon Valley-based digital advertising growth company Aleph Group Inc., founder and CEO of US-based customer data platform Treasure Data Kazuki Ohta, founder of Sweden digital marketing company Heep Agency Magnus Lundin, co-founder of Lithuanian dropshipping platform for Shopify eCommerce Stores Oberlo Tomas Slimas, and others.
Launched in 2017 in the US Genus AI develops generative advertising for US e-commerce companies. One of the startup's solutions is the automated design of product catalogs. The customer has to upload his product catalog on Genus AI platform, choose a template he likes, and customize it, removing the background, matching the color, using "smart" shadows, and more. After the customer has designed a new product catalog, he can use it on one of his advertising channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Google, Pinterest, and TikTok.
The startup has generated over 10M product images for brands such as Parks Project, Annie Selke, Awe Inspired, Peter Thomas Roth, and many others. Genus AI operates in Lithuanian and the US markets. In 2019, it constructed an AI technology center in Vilnius, in which it has invested more than $3M.
The company will use the investment to develop infrastructure and add additional interfaces and features to its AI platform.
Tomas Slimas is a Vilnius-based angel investor. His portfolio includes a Tallinn-based search engine for finding relevant influencers Modash, Lithuanian developer of transport order management software GoRamp, Lithuanian developer of speech analytics software for customer services Oxus.AI, Lithuanian web3 coding school Turing College, and others.
