Estonian manufacturer of parcel machines Cleveron will lay off 20% of its employees

Estonian manufacturer of parcel machines and other robotic solutions Cleveron will lay off 20% of its employees (38 employees) due to the shutting down of unprofitable business lines. According to the company, it refers to the challenging global economic situation, changing business strategy, and intention to improve profitability. Cleveron will focus on the European market and automation of retail trade. The company’s products can be found in 50 countries.

Estonian Clevon, developer of the autonomous vehicle CLEVON1 for delivering goods, will also lay off its employees and partly reorganize its staff in Estonia. Clevon is going to terminate employment contracts with 15 employees. Before, the company employed 84 people. Clevon claims that redundancies refer to the optimization of the company's financial resources. In addition, the developer of autonomous vehicle CLEVON1 will focus on the US market and adjust its business strategy.

Founded in Tallinn in 2007 by Arno Kütt, Cleveron operated by the name SmartPOST at the start. The company develops hardware and software for parcel lockers and other robotic solutions and provides training, support, and remote and on-site maintenance to its clients worldwide.

Established in Tallinn in 2022 by Arno Kütt and Sander Sebastian Agur, Clevon is Cleveron's spin-off. In September 2022, Clevon expanded its global operations to the US and opened its headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex at the AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone.

In July 2023, the founder of two companies Arno Kütt sold most of his shares at Cleveron. He owned a third of Cleveron's shares through his company Konna. At the same time, Arno Kütt doubled the amount of shares in Clevon.
