Lithuanian fintech SME Finance changed its brand name to smeGo

Lithuanian fintech SME Finance changed its brand name to smeGo. According to the company, the new name means the commitment to help established small and medium businesses grow and move forward. In addition, apart from existing offices in the Baltics and Finland, the startup expanded its operations and opened a branch in the Netherlands.

Founded in Vilnius in 2016 by Audrius Milukas, smeGo is an AI-driven lending technology platform that provides different types of factoring, loans, and leasing for small and medium-sized companies (SMEs). The startup makes decisions on whether to provide loans or not, as well as customer onboarding with the help of machine learning, open banking, and automation. According to the startup, it has already reached more than €1,3B in loan volume and invoice financing with over 2,5K companies. The average amount of lending ranges from €10K to €5M.
