Latvian startups association Startin.lv elected a new board
Latvian Startups Association Startin.lv elected five members for its new board. One of the new members is head of operations at the Latvian BADideas.fund and head of customer success at the Latvian education platform Edurio Madara Knutina. Another newcomer is a Vice President at London-based bank account data tool GoCardless and a co-founder at Latvian fintech Nordigen Rolands Mestersan. An ex-board member of Startin.lv and a co-founder at Endurio Ernest Jenavs also joined Startin.lv.
A venture partner at Estonian Change Ventures, a managing partner at Latvian community Startup House, a member of the board at a non-profit organization TechChill Andris K. Berzins, and a Chairman of the board and COO at Latvian healthtech Longenesis Agnese Veckalne were elected again.
The previous board elections ran in 2021. The new team will work at Startin.lv during the next two years.
Established in 2016, Startin.LV is a non-profit non-government organization that aims to develop the startup community in Latvia. It has contributed to the creation of the Latvian startup database and the development of a national startup visa program. To date, Startin.LV has more than 100 members. Earlier, the Latvian Ministry of Economics announced the allocation of €400K to support local startups in 2024. Startin.lv is one of six organizations that are supposed to receive this financing.
