Axiology raises €2M

Axiology, a Lithuania-based tokenized securities platform that facilitates the trading of stocks or bonds using distributed ledger technologies, has raised €2M. The startup received investment from Lithuanian Coinvest Capital, Baltic Sandbox Ventures, and accredited private co-investors. 

Axiology provides a tokenized securities depository,  using distributed ledger technologies for tokenised sustainable securities. The company was founded in 2018. It’s headed by Marius Jurgilas, PhD, a former board member of the Bank of Lithuania.

The funds will be used to develop a fully functional, regulatory compliant alternative capital market infrastructure.

Coinvest Capital is a VC fund fully capitalised with public funds from the Lithuanian State and the EU. It is 100% owned by the national development agency INVEGA, which, in turn, is owned by the Ministry of Finance, acting as a shareholder on behalf of the Republic of Lithuania. Coinvest Capital invests in startups and companies undergoing business development and growth in cooperation with groups of business angels or private venture capital funds.

Baltic Sandbox Ventures is a Lithuanian accelerator for SaaS and Fintech startups. It invests in startups working in deep technologies and life sciences.
