Crespect raises €700K

Estonian startup Crespect, which develops work management software for law firms, has raised €700K from existing and new angel investors, including business angel Sergey Anikin.

Founded in Tallinn in 2022 by Sorainen senior partner Sorainen Aku and a former head of business development and marketing Katri-Helen Wojtkowia. The company provides work management software for law firms, which includes various features such as client onboarding and management, case management, time tracking, billing, collaboration, and resource management. The Crespect’s legal practice management system is currently being tested in law firms across Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Hungary, Ukraine, Finland, and the Baltic States. The CEO of Crespect is Lauri Minna.

Crespect will use the investment to accelerate the launch of its AI, testing, and product development, as well as sales and marketing efforts. Sergey Anikin has also joined the company as an advisory board member.

In April 2023, Crespect raised €605K from Baltic and foreign investors, who came from the legal industry and had connections with Baltic commercial law firm Sorainen.

Sergey Anikin has served as the former CEO of Estonian banking platform Tuum, the former CTO and co-CEO, and a Vice president of engineering at Estonian sales management CRM company Pipedrive. He worked as an Engineering manager at Skype and a Principal engineering manager at Microsoft. Currently, he serves as a Chairman of the Board at Estonian Katana (manufacturing and inventory software for businesses), and an Executive in Residence in the US VC Camber Partner.

As a business angel, he invests from €10K to €20K in the startups at the pre-seed and seed stages. His main focus is on SaaS startups in the Baltic region. In 2024, Sergey Anikin plans to make 5-6 investments.
