Crypto Rogue Games raises €1,38M
Sweden and Estonia-based studio Crypto Rogue Games has raised €1,38M in funding. The round was led by the decentralized autonomous gaming organization Merit Circle and Singaporean smart contract platform Avalanche. Other investors included SNZ, New York-based investment management company Coinfund, crypto Lyrik Ventures, Devmons, and business angel Bryan Pellegrino, CEO and co-founder of Canadian company Layer Zero Labs.
Founded in Umeå in 2021 by Åke André, the studio Crypto Rogue Games creates web3 gaming experiences. The company is developing a free role-playing game called Crystals of Naramunz, which is set in a post-apocalyptic steampunk universe after a global catastrophe. Players can take on the roles of different heroes and explore a world full of ruins, dungeons, and relics. They can also craft items that can be traded on an open market. In June 2024, Crypto Rogue Games plans to organize a beta test of the game. The investment will be used to accelerate the development of the game.
